Anison Duo ClariS Shows Their True Faces in "Connect" New Version Music Video

Anisong duo ClariS has posted a 100-second music video for "Connect -reformare-," a remake version clip for their second singe song "Connect" (Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP theme). The clip was filmed Lake Syuparo in Hokkaido, ClariS' birthplace. The town submerged by dam construction and the dying trees peeking out from the surface of the lake are very nostalgic and enhance the worldview of the song.

As reported, their much-awaited sixth album "Parfaitone" is set to be released on April 6, 2022. Its Perfect Limited Production Edition will include "-reformare- Music Video," new version music videos of their three representative songs – "Connect," "Luminous" (Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Movie Beginnings theme song), and "Colorful" (Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Movie Rebellion theme song). The clips are re-filmed with their own images of their true faces for the first time as a bonus content.

Clara says, "The music video for 'Connect' includes a scene in which our masks are taken off, and it shows what ClariS has valued up to now and our will to carve our own path further into the future. We are happy to be able to present the songs we have cherished until now in a new form, and we hope that everyone who receives it will feel our thoughts and determination." And Karen adds, "We shot the clip at Lake Syuparo in Hokkaido, and the slow flow of time, the mysterious silence, and the withered grass and trees were perfect for the serious world view of Connect. I feel that the warmth and light of nature among them and that it brought out the core strength of the song. Please feel the story of Connect."
