The final Fire Force chapter is upon us, concluding the tale of Atsushi Ohkubo's latest manga series. The manga creator announced that he had submitted the final chapter last night on his Twitter account, saying "The final chapter has been submitted, though I have a lot of work still to do." It's not yet known when the final chapter will be released, as their might be a few more chapters to go in Weekly Shonen Magazine.

Ohkubo went on to say in following Tweets that when Soul Eater was completed, it was already confirmed that Fire Force would be coming to Weekly Shonen Magazine so it "felt like I was done even if I drew the last chapter," but this time around, there's been no announcement of a new series, so "it feels like I don't have much of a job anymore." Ohkubo confirmed he has the idea for a new story, but no plans or sense of when he'll draw it.
On the topic of the competition of Fire Force, Ohkubo said that due to his family background in finance and legal work, he never let anything stray the story from the path he decided upon at the start of the series or move it in a way he didn't expect. Though he quipped that maybe because of that he wasn't the type of person to become a manga creator.
Both TV anime seasons of Fire Force, which adapts the manga of the same name by Atsushi Ohkubo, are streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as such:
Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion all throughout the city! Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Now, as part of Company 8, he’ll use his devil’s footprints to help keep the city from turning to ash! But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could set everything ablaze.
