Gundam Arsenal Base Arcade Card Strategy Game Gets Spring 2022 Launch In Japan


Bandai Namco and Sunrise have announced the forthcoming launch of a new arcade game combining the elements of a collectible card game with strategy elements in Gundam Arsenal Base. The arcade game is slated to launch in Spring of 2022 across Japan, with the first series represented in Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Gundam Build Divers Re: RISE under the banner of <SEASON: 01>, suggesting that the arcade game and card game will introduce new series and characters on a rolling basis.

Location test dates


Ahead of the official launch of the arcade game, the game will be location-tested in Akihabara from the 17th to the 26th in Japan, with Amazon Japan and Rakuten selling currently starter sets for the game for ¥1,100 that feature Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans starter decks, a specially designed Bana Passport arcade card, and a card case.

Finally, Bandai Namco has also announced an online portal celebrating its history in Gundam collectible card games in Gundam Card Expo, which will detail the history of Gundam card games from the first line of  "Carddass SD Gundam World" collectible trading cards, to the current Arsenal Base game, with cards to be featured on a rotating basis leading up to the launch of the game next Spring
