Over the weekend on the "before the release" special program for the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 anime film, more details on the Japanese theatrical release were revealed, including the free booklet given out to filmgoers as well as the first showings of the film in Japanese theaters.
Filmgoers who go to see the film in its first few weeks will be given a special booklet with an exclusive 9-page manga drawn by Gege Akutami about the daily lives of the first years seen in the film as well as production materials and Q&A's from the creator, anime staff, and cast. The booklet will be exclusive to the cinema screenings and is limited to 5 million copies. This is more than the historic 4.5 million print run for the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train manga that was released alongside its theatrical run–likely because Demon Slayer ran out quite quickly.

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 will also be getting midnight screenings on December 24 in a select few theaters in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, Fukuoka, and Hokkaido, as well the in-story locations of Kyoto and Miyagi.
MAPPA returns to animate JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, with director Sunghoo Park at the helm and Toho distributing the film in theaters in Japan across 418 confirmed theaters including in IMAX. The anime film was announced at the end of the JUJUTSU KAISEN TV anime series, which is streaming on Crunchyroll.
