An art exhibition focusing on the work of expert kaiju designers Yuji Kaida and Shinji Nishikawa is heading to the GALLERY21 venue in Tokyo beginning on February 19, 2022, and now the exhibition is seeking to crowdfund a special edition art book highlighting the work of both artists using the BOOSTER crowdfunding platform.
The crowdfunding campaign seeks to raise 1 million yen (about $9693) to create a 200 page book chronicling the efforts of the "Kaiju Artist Original Painting Exhibitions" from 2011 to the present. The books will be autographed by both Kaida and Nishikawa, and supporters can also pledge for special courses that include Nishikawa's "Landscape with Kaiju" art book and / or Kaida's "ULTRA Picture Album Ultimate" art book as a bonus. The campaign runs until May 08, 2022.
The "Yuji Kaida Shinji Nishikawa World's Greatest Kaiju Artist Festival From Ultra Q to SSSS.DYNAZENON" art exhibition runs from February 19 – March 13, 2022 at the GALLERY21 venue in Minato City, Tokyo, Japan. The exhibitions includes some 85 pieces of art from Kaida and Nishikawa, including original artworks that will be displayed for the first time.
