My Dress-Up Darling: This is how Marin will look like in Real Life

Marin Kitagawa was the most popular female anime character of this season, and also one of the sweetest girlfriend in anime. Although it is pretty much impossible to find such a girlfriend, a Reddit user went viral for sharing how Marin will look like in real life.

Reddit user “u/gabrielxdesign” went viral after sharing a “real life” recreation of the character Marin Kitagawa. In their post, the user revealed that this is in fact not a cosplay done by a person, and she used programs such as Photoshop, Portrait Pro, and others make this art work.

The user had previously published one in real life of the character Takagi from (Teasing Master Takagi-san), so future interesting recreations could be expected from him.

My Dress-up Darling anime series is based on a manga, written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. In her interview, Shinichi revealed that after seeing the first 2 episodes, she cried because of how amazing the anime was. The author has been publishing the manga in Square Enix ‘s Young Gangan magazine since January 2018. The anime series was produced by CloverWorks, who release a 12 episode first season in January 2022. Season 2 has not been announced so far.

Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide
