A new preview video, a new key visual, the main cast, the main staff, and the Japanese release window have all been revealed for Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth (known in Japan as Utawarerumono Futari no Hakuoro), the latest animated adaptation based on the series of popular fantasy tactical RPG / visual novel games developed by AQUAPLUS.
The main staff includes:

- Character design, chief animation director: Masahiko Nakada
- Music: AQUAPLUS
- Animation production: WHITE FOX
The main cast of Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth includes:
- Kentaro Tone as Oshtor / Haku.
- Risa Taneda as Kuon.
- Chinatsu Akasaki as Anjou.
- And Inori Minase as Nekone.
English language versions of the original Utawarerumono games are available on PC via Steam. Crunchyroll currently streams the 2015 – 2016 Utawarerumono The False Faces TV anime which adapts the second game, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, and describes the story of it as follows:
Based off of the second game in the Utawarerumono series, UTAWARERUMONO –Itsuwari no Kamen- features a nameless protagonist that wakes up in the middle of a vast, snowy plain he doesn’t recognize. Not only that, but he is suffering from amnesia and doesn’t even remember who he is. Suddenly, he gets attacked by an insect-like creature, but is saved by a girl with animal ears and tail named Kuon, who decides to name him Haku.
The Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth TV anime is based on the third and final game in the Utawarerumono trilogy. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in July of 2022.
