One Piece Film Red Trailer Reveals Luffy Knew Shank’s Daughter From Childhood

The official Twitter account of One Piece franchise revealed the first trailer for the upcoming One Piece Film Red. With the trailer coming out, we have a little bit more information about Shank’s daughter, and where the movie is taking place.

One Piece film Red story takes place on the island of music called Elegia. Luffy and Uta will be reunited for the first time in 12 years. Looks like they knew each other as kids. The trailer reveals that Uta was in Luffy’s hometown, Fusha Village with Shanks all along. We also Luffy and Uta hanging out together as kids.

Shank’s daughter, Uta will be voiced by Kaori Nazuka, while the singing part will be done by ADO. A new poster for the film, drawn by Eiichiro Oda has been released. One Piece Red will be released in Japan on August 6. The worldwide release date for the film have not been announced yet.

Synopsis

Uta — the most beloved singer in the world. Her voice, which she sings with while concealing her true identity, has been described as “otherworldly.” She will appear in public for the first time at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans — excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance — the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is “Shanks’ daughter.”
Uta stands on the stage, with the ordinary wish of “Making the world happy with my music.” There’s Gordon, a mysterious character who knows Uta’s past, and glimpses of Shanks’ shadow. On Elegia, the island of music, Luffy and Uta reunite for the first time since they last met 12 years ago in Foosha Village.
