Reign of the Seven Spellblades TV Anime Adaptation Announced
A bunch of TV anime announcements have been made during the Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival event, and one of the latest is based on Alderamin on the Sky author Bokuto Uno’s Reign of the Seven Spellblades light novel series, known in Japan as Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru.
Featuring illustrations by Ruria Miyuki, the first volume launched in September 2018, and the eighth just hit shelves in Japan in September of this year. There’s also a manga adaptation by Sakae Esuno that’s serialized in Shonen Ace magazine.
Yen Press publishes the series in English and sums up the story below:
Springtime at Kimberly Magic Academy, when new students begin their first year. One boy, clad in black robes with a white cane and sword strapped to his hip, approaches the prestigious school. This young man—Oliver—must form a bond with a katana wielding girl named Nanao if he’s to survive the dangers he’s to face at this school that is anything but what it seems!
