Yuki Sato’s psychological-thriller manga series, Tomodachi Game will be getting an anime series in April. The manga series was already popular enough, but the fan base increase more after being compared to popular Netflix series, Squid Games. Here is everything we know about the upcoming anime series:
Tomodachi Game anime series is scheduled to air on April 5, and it will be available on the Crunchyroll platform on the same day of the release. Studio Okuruto Noboru will be animating the series, their previous noticable work is “The Hidden Dungeon, Only I can Enter”. Hirofumi Ogura will be directing the series who previously worked on “Cells At Work Season 2”.

High school student Katagiri Yuichi, who values friendship above all else, enjoys a fulfilling life with his close friends Sawagiri Shiho, Mikasa Tenji, Shibe Makoto, and Kokorogi Yutori. Tomodachi Game manga series is written and drawn by Yuki Sato, who started the manga serialization in Dec 2013, in Kondansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The series also received 2 live action films, and a TV drama series, which was released in 2017.
The main cast of the series includes:
- Chiaki Kobayashi (known for voicing Askeladd from Vinland Saga) will voice Yūichi Katagiri
- Daiki Hamano (known for voicing Valtos from Black Clover) will voice Tenji Mikasa
- Yume Miyamoto will voice Shiho Sawaragi
- Tomohiro Ōno will voice Makoto Shibe
