The official YouTube channel for Sparkleling and Storytelling's co-produced original web anime project UNTITLED MAGICAL GIRL has posted the third and final episode of its latest arc "Flowery Magical Girl," the ninth episode in the whole series, featuring its theme song "FLOWERY MY WAY" sung by May'n (the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier).
The project was launched in April 2021 to depict "struggles of new magical girls who are not bound by the values and common sense created by someone else, but who stand up for themselves and pursue their own ideal images and happiness." The theme of its first arc "Starry Magical Girl" was the 1980s and its theme song "Koisuru Mahou Shoujo" (Magical Girl in Love) was sung by Hiroko Kasahara. And the theme for its second arc "Wing Magical Girl" was the 1990s, and its theme song "Kibou no Tsubasa" (Wings of Hope) was sung by Masami Okui, a member of the anison super group JAM Project.
Naturally, the theme of its third arc "Flowery Magical Girl" is the 2000s. May'n says, "I thought it was very interesting to have separate character settings and songs for each era in a single series. At the time of recording, I could immediately picture a scene of magical girls fighting, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how the video will turn out, and I can't wait to sing it live since it turned out to be a hot tune! I hope you all enjoy the series while thinking back to each eras!"
