Vash The Stampede's Eyeglasses Can Now Be Yours For A Very Reasonable Price In Japan
For those of us of a certain age, Yasuhiro Nightow's Trigun was a keystone anime and manga series that showed many younger anime and manga fans how cool both mediums could be. Now the property is set for another merchandise collaboration, this time with Japanese eyewear brand Shitsuji Megane eyemirror.
The brand is working directly with the aforementioned creator for an official pair of eyeglasses that retain all of the key details as illustrated in the manga and featured in motion in the anime adaptation. The eyeglasses themselves will be priced at ¥13,200, or about USD$114 at current exchange rates and will include a free illustrated cleaning cloth as well as a branded and themed storage case, plus an optional paid upgrade to perscription lenses. This is one of those times I wish I still had an active proxy in Japan, because I've always wanted a pair of Vash's sunglasses. Ah well, such is life.
